Leeds Met PhD student Pei-Ying Wu has been awarded the Helen Brett scholarship from the Exhibition Industry Foundation (EIF) in Dallas.
The Helen Brett scholarship serves to promote the exhibition industry by attracting students into the field of study and encouraging their pursuit with financial support. The scholarship assists individuals who are exploring the study of exhibition management with the end goal of advancing their career in this field.
The award will help Pei-Ying's research, which focuses on the exhibition sector and the perceptions and expectations of the service quality between several of the main stakeholders, such as venue providers and organisers, in relation to exhibitions in Taiwan.
Pei-Ying remarks, "Achieving this scholarship will really help me achieve my goal to complete my PhD in two years. It will also help with teaching and advancing my knowledge within Taiwanese academia as well as allowing me to make a valuable contribution to the exhibition industry."
