Professor Rhodri Thomas recently returned from Aalborg University, Denmark, where he gave a keynote presentation on partnerships, small firms and regional tourism development. The conference Tourism, Regional Development & Public Policy was organised by the academic society the Regional Studies Association (RSA) which provides an authoritative voice and networking for academics, students, practitioners, policy makers interested in the analysis of regions and regional issues.
Commenting on the event, Professor Thomas noted that, "It was a real privilege to be invited to speak at a conference organised by such a prestigious association. I am delighted that the RSA is taking an interest in tourism. I anticipate that there will be some really valuable research projects emerging from this kind of event."
