UKCEM launches a new course designed to support local industry by equipping current and potential employees with the skills required to make the most out of festivals and events in the region. Beginning in February, the Certificate in Creating & Managing Events will cover all aspects of events management including innovative event marketing, risk assessments, personal license training and creative production. The course will be delivered in six two-day intensive workshops. A discount of up to 60% will be offered to Yorkshire-based companies.  The launch of the new course follows the announcement by Yorkshire Forward that events in Leeds attract more than four million delegates each year, with a collective spend of £562m.  Glenn Bowdin, Head of the UK Centre for Events Management, commented:  “With more than four million delegates visiting Leeds annually, as well as the thousands of festival attendees, we are sure that more individuals and organisations could be capitalising on the sector. We hope our new Certificate in Creating & Managing Events will help to enhance the competitiveness of businesses in the region and strengthen our events economy even further.”  For further details please contact Lisa Holt This email address is being protected from spambots.
