More than one hundred and sixty people from twenty three countries attended the Global Events Congress IV, incorporating the 8th AEME Events Management Educators Forum, hosted by the UK Centre for Events Management (UKCEM) at Leeds Metropolitan University from 14-16 July 2010.
Glenn Bowdin, Head of the UKCEM and Chair of AEME noted, "Global Events Congress IV has showcased a wide range of events and festivals research and provided a forum for events educators and researchers to explore and advance theory, policy and practice, the theme of the event.  It has updated the academic community on the "state of the art" and provided the sharing on best practice, which has greatly assisted AEME in moving the agenda forward."
 
Professor Rhodri Thomas, Chair of the Scientific Committee, continued, "We have been impressed by the quality of the key note speakers and parallell sessions.
